Modern City Garden
Client Brief:
To remove the dry patch of grass (The front lawn) and create a paved area for the existing round table. Being young professional people who often work from home, the space is often used for work but would be used to entertain friends in the evenings. Low maintenance planting and high specification lighting were high on the priority list.Solutions:
My first objective was to remove the existing path that clung to the boundary and incorporate a curved path around a central paved circle, this followed the natural ‘flow’ of the footfall to the front door whilst allowing for some shaped planting areas. The combination of low built in surface lighting and low maintenance planting looked quite striking by day and especially at night!
